Welcome to the Legal Dynamix Privacy Policy page.

 

Legal Dynamix (Pty) Ltd is a company incorporated according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa and as such is required to comply with various legislation including the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013 (POPIA) and the Promotion of Access to Information Act of 2000 (PAIA). The Company is committed to complying with POPIA in terms of the processing of personal information, and specifically to the principles of:

  • Accountability, ie the Company as the 'responsible party' (as defined in the Act) is responsible for the lawful processing of personal information in accordance with POPIA.

  • Processing limitation, ie fair and lawful manner.

  • Purpose specification, ie use of personal information for defined purposes only.

  • Information quality, ie the information is accurate and complete.

  • Openness ie to ensure processing of any personal information is done in a fair and transparent manner.

  • Security safeguards, ie adequate safeguards to protect personal information.

  • Data subject participation, ie allowing data subjects to access and/or request the correction or deletion of any personal information held about them that may be inaccurate, misleading or outdated.

What types of information does the Company collect?

The Company receives, collects and stores any information whenever you visit or use (collectively referred to as 'use') the website and/or social media platforms used by the Company (collectively referred to as 'the website'). In addition, the Company collects the internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, login, e-mail address, password, computer and connection information. The Company may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page and other forms of data analytics. The Company also collects personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile when you use the contact us form, or when you, if applicable, comment on any website content. The Company does not process any special personal information as defined in POPIA.

​Why does the Company collect such personal information?

The Company collects information for the following purposes:

  1. To enhance the user and visitor experience when using the site.

  2. To provide and operate the services the Company may enter into by agreement with you.

  3. To provide our users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support.

  4. To be able to contact our users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages.

  5. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which the Company or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services.

  6. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

How does the Company store, use, share, secure and disclose our site visitors' personal information?

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to enhance the user experience, and any services we may enter into agreements with you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications or other data storage platforms. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. Google analytics and similar technologies may also be used. In all instances, the respective technologies have their own privacy policies.

How does the Company communicate with our site visitors?

The Company may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account or access the site, to resolve a dispute, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our Company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce any applicable user or other applicable agreement, or for compliance to any applicable national laws, and generally any agreement the Company may have with you. For these purposes, the Company may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and/or other media.

Children’s privacy

The Company does not process any personal information of children (ie persons under the age of 18), and this site and any services are not intended for children. The Company encourages parents or guardians to take an active role in ensuring their children do not use this site for any purpose nor to disclose personal information. Should a parent or guardian become aware that the child has shared personal information with the Company, it should use the contact form to inform us of this so we may immediately and permanently delete such information.

Retention of personal information

The Company retains personal information as long as may be required for the fulfillment of any agreement we have with you and/or in accordance with applicable laws and regulations whereafter the information will be securely and permanently deleted.

Transfer of personal information

We do not transfer any personal information outside of South Africa. Where transfer is required, and you consent, it will be done in accordance with the requirements set out in POPIA.

Privacy Policy changes

The Company reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon the policy being posted to the site. Users and visitors should ensure they have read, understood and agreed to this policy and continued use or accessing of the site is deemed acceptance of the terms of this policy.​

Access, amendment, correction, or deletion of your personal information

You are responsible for ensuring any information you provide the Company when using the website is correct. Should there be any error or should you need to amend information previously provided or should you wish for your information to be deleted or should you want access to information that we may have about you, you must contact us at info@legaldynamix.co.za, and comply with the requirements of POPIA and this policy.
